Electric Classic Cars in the UK is a company that specializes in this and has already converted Classic Range Rovers, Porsches, VW Bettles, Ferraris, Series Land Rovers and now this classic Defender. The Land Rover junkies (like us too) over at The Kooks Group YouTube Channel recently featured a super-cool custom 1955 Land Rover Series 1 powered by Land Rover's much newer Td5 diesel engine, which also powered Defender and Discovery SII models throughout Europe and other markets in their day.
