Tite has called up his squad for the friendlies against Ghana and Tunisia. The South Americans will play Ghana on 23rd September in the Oceane stadium in Le Havre, France, and Tunisia four days later in Le Parc des Princes in Paris. These are Brazil’s final matches before they take on Serbia on 24th November in their opening fixture in the World Cup.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has said that the seleção will take on Tunisia on 23rd September and Ghana four days later. The matches are part of Brazil’s build up for the World Cup in Qatar. The venues are yet to be decided with the CBF pushing for Paris or London as possible locations.   ..read more

Last September’s abandoned Copa America clash between Brazil and Argentina will not be replayed. After a recommendation by Fifa, the Brazilian and Argentine football federations have agreed to not to go ahead with the match that was scheduled for September 2022. This week, Internacional’s Odair Hellmann was the latest to get the boot. Júlio César – the wee man himself – takes a walk
Confiança de Sapé player, Júlio César, was sent off for urinating during a second division match in the Campeonato Paraibano. The forward, who was among the subs, was caught short 15 minutes into the second half. Referee Gustavo Estevão reported that César was given his marching orders after he spotted him performing a “physiological need”.
Despite the absence of the striker, Confiança beat Sport-PB 1-0.

Coach Guilherme Dalla Déa has named 21 players for U17 World Cup that takes place in Brazil from 26 October to 17 November.
Brazil are in Group A alongside Canada, New Zealand, and Angola.
Before the World Cup, the South Americans will play three friendlies in England against the host country, South Korea, and Australia.
Brazil will also play the USA a week before the World Cup kicks off.
