I need some ideas for an open car hauler tire rack. Can anyone with a tire rack and an open car hauler post a pic? I have been toting my back up rims and tires in the bed of the truck but I would like to have some more space as it seems every trip I add one more thing to the list. If you have any ideas by all means share ..read more

TL;DR: I'm trying a taller rear gear, played with the diff, and put in soft rear springs.

I spent last week on a rear-end project that I’ve been thinking about for probably 3 years (or 25+ depending on how you count). It was one of those deals where I wanted to do something simple and all hell ends up breaking loose. I have a real hard time leaving well enough alone, I guess, but taking my car apart and putting back together...

Just had one of the best days of my life out on the track, and I have to say, thanks to all your input for helping me be ready both mentally and in regards to the car. She screamed through the track in the Novice category, and now I can feel my addiction growing. Going back asap, and I learned much about what needs improvement and what doesn’t on this girl for now. Bless guys, and expect more questions! -D ..read more

I'm sure there will be some strong opinions on this, but ... Is there any good reason not to run regular gas for track day?
That's what I have been running most of the time. I don't care about a little extra HP, and fuel cost for an out-of-town track weekend really adds up. I just don't know if there is any reliability risk to the engine with regular 87 octane gas ..read more

Then, I finally realized this is one of the easiest problems to solve permanently thanks to the modern miracle of Velcro.
Hopefully this 5 minute tech tip makes some else's life less annoying ..read more

I've got the rear subframe out of the car and doing my differential thing. I'm presently on 750# rear springs and going to try something softer. I've got two options. So what do you think? Do I try the 650's or the 500's ..read more

What tools do you guys normally bring to the track?
All I have so far is inflator, scissor jack, breaker bar, torque wrench, socket for wheels.
I have a Home Depot tote with this stuff plus a quart of oil in it so far.
As a novice I don't expect to need very much my first couple times, but I'm the over-prepared type ..read more
