So forums are still a thing? Who's still on here? I definitely have connected with some of you through Facebook. After 5 years with the Banana Stallion, I've got over 130,000 miles, and 208 closed course days. Who else is running the crap out of their EBM's? We will be starting up this season at VIR March 9-10, SCCA Time Trial Nationals ..read more

Can the Mustang EB handle hard launches with 200 treadwire tires? (For autocross and time trials in my case, but drag racers may have good answers here as well). As torque and grip increases with further upgrades, what would break first? Axles? Driveshaft? Etc ..read more

Does one always use maximum tire width on a rim?

So I have been using 275/35/19 tires on my 2020 HPP/HP on 9.5 inch rims. First on BFGs then Falkens. Next year I plan on trying RE71RS. I can use the 275s again or try the 285/30/19s. I know as one goes wider on a fixed rim width, there is some crowning of the tread. Tirerack did a test on Toyobaru twins with RE71RS and diferent tire and rim sizes that showed the fastest average time was a 225/45/17 on a 9 inch rim but the fastest single time was 245/40/17 on the 9 inch rim... Hey guys. I picked up a 2019 Ecoboost with the performance package with autocrossing in mind. Since it's been a while since I ran a street class in a bone stock vehicle I'm hoping someone has a baseline setup as a starting point for me. With only 600 miles on the odometer I'm still trying to sort things out. New car, never race a turbo car before and no RE71R is leaving me scratching my head. Thanks Bill ..read more

HI all, I'm ting to decide where to go next. On the agenda are, brake upgrade, chassis stiffning, and suspension. I am having trouble deciding which is more important for chasing lap times. If you don't mind tell me where it's at. I can probably afford a pad upgrade and basic chassis stiffning or can I get by with factory breaks and invest elsewhere ..read more

About this event We're VERY excited to offer a very unique road-course autocross event at Eagles Canyon Raceway! This will be on August 14th at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur. Running on the road course brings with it some special requirements - you must have autocrossed at least 3 times in the past few years with publicly accessible results to be eligible for this event. (clubs other than SCCA qualify). We... TXR SCCA Solo E5 - Ludicrous Speed Go Sun, Aug 14, 2022 ..read more

2022 season is nearing, sooner for some of us than others. I know there are quite a few of us playing in Cam with our Ecoboost so I have an idea. There are many build threads and individual updates. What if we try using one thread to post updates, races, mods, tips and tricks etc? It may be easier to keep track of what each of us find works and what may not. Yes/No ..read more

Sunday was my first event with the cincy scca. For anyone considering attending, find a local autocross club and do it. It's the most fun I've had with my clothes on. My local chapter are wonderful people and very wiling to help others who have no clue what they're doing, just like my wife and i. They have a special staging lane for two drivers in one car. This is one thing I wish I hadn't waited so long to do. So, if you've ever wanted to learn to autocross, just get out there and DO IT ..read more

Head clearance issues

I'm starting to get my car setup for autocross and I already know head clearance is going to be my biggest issues. I'm 6'6 and when I'm normally sitting in the car without a helmet my head is already about 2 inches from the roof and I haven't even tried with a helmet yet, but I know it will definitely be hitting the roof. I have the factory option Recaro seats so I don't want to spend the money on getting another race seat unless I have to. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem or...
