One day while riding his bicycle, a car struck him. It knocked him for a loop.  For half a year he could barely walk. He couldn’t carry on a conversation. Community members have two opportunities in the next month to provide direct feedback on how the federal government should address safety regulations for e-bikes. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is taking public comment until Wednesday, April 24, on what its consumer protection policy priorities should be for the next two years. Any housing development plan for Marinwood Plaza would go through reviews. The Marin County Community Development Agency (CDA) has received an application for the development of 125 all-affordable multifamily housing units at the site of Marinwood Plaza, just west of Highway 101. Binford Road homeless encampment reduction report due soon

The big homeless encampment on county land just north of Novato on Binford Road has been a topic of concern for Marin County government.  In December of last year, the county presented an assessment of the homeless there (101 people) and planned to give the public an update on progress for reducing the population illegally parked alongside the road. The San Rafael report on social media the following incident: On Monday, 04/15/2024, a male victim arrived at the police department and reported that a suspect had shot at him while he was in his car at Rice Drive near Andersen Drive.
