Hi everyone! Maggie Bergman here! I graduated from Northland’s senior line in 2017, alongside a fabulous group of ladies and with wonderful teachers and mentors who inspired me to continue to pursue my passion for performing to this day! Even though I was only a part of the Northland family for two years, I still feel so incredibly grateful to have been welcomed with open arms as a stranger in a place where so many of my new teammates had been dancing together their whole lives. As scary as it was to leave behind what was familiar and make this change so late in the game, I knew that if ..read more

Hello! My name is Lauren Retka. I am a graduate of Northland’s 2019 Senior Line. Although it has been a while since my time at Northland, it will forever hold a special place in my heart. I started dancing at Northland at the age of 10. Upon my arrival, I was greeted with warm smiles and open arms, something I continue to get to this day. The Northland staff shares the passion for dance with many young dancers and teaches important life lessons that have gotten me where I am today. The first words out of my mouth after walking through the front door were, “I wish I had come here sooner ..read more

We’re both honored and extremely blessed with the opportunity to play a role in the lives of so many dancers. Some dancers we get to know only for a short time and with others we have the opportunity to be part of their lives year after year.  No matter the length of time, this is an honor we cherish. And no matter if a student has danced with us as a recreational student or as a competitive dancer, we absolutely love when we can keep in touch and celebrate with them as they move through life. We wanted to be able to share the sentiments of our dancers with you, in their own words. We ..read more
