On April 21 The Natural History Museum is one of the oldest historical museums in Los Angeles, established in 1913 it is home to an enriching and emerging cultural, educational, and entertainment hub in Exposition Park. In addition to entertainment and education, the museum offers exhibitions like the Age of Mammals, the Dinosaur Hall, the Gem and Mineral Hall, and dioramas. The operation addressed a longstanding encampment at the Gilbert Lindsay Recreation Center next to the Theresa Lindsay Senior Center. Convicted of involuntary manslaughter The armorer on the New Mexico set of the film “Rust'' was sentenced this week to 18 months in prison for the 2021 on-set death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was struck by a bullet discharged from a prop gun wielded by actor Alec Baldwin. Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, 26, was convicted last month in New Mexico of involuntary manslaughter. The jury acquitted her of an evidence tampering charge. Water agency raises concerns The Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency is expressing concerns this week about wastewater from the Chiquita Canyon Landfill reaching groundwater sources, such as the Santa Clara River and wells near the landfill, and has sent a letter to the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board outlining the impacts of the conditions at the landfill. Motorcyclist fatally injured Authorities this week sought the public’s help to find the hit-and-run motorist involved in fatally injuring a motorcyclist in Lancaster.
