On June 10th, 2023, Art from Ashes staff and volunteers participated in the 9th annual Youth on Record Block Party right in the heart of the La Alma/Lincoln Park neighborhood (and right in front of our office)! The entire event was youth led and organized, complete with featured performance opportunities, live music, food and beverages, lots of smiles and more. In March 2023, Genesis Inspiration Foundation reached out to Art from Ashes to learn more about our creative empowerment programs. Little did we know, they were surprising us with a $50,000 general operating support grant this spring! Columbine Unitarian Universalist Church is highlighting local BIPOC artists with a series of art shows featuring their work. Visionary Denver artist, Mario Sauceda, was the first to be featured.
