A plan to expand customer parking at the busy Asia Mall at 12160 Technology Drive will be among the items considered by the Eden Prairie City Council at its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 7. Opened 1½ years ago, the pan-Asian food hall that once was home to Gander Mountain has struggled to have enough parking at peak times. The mall management proposes replacing a stormwater pond with an underground stormwater management system and paving over the top to create an additional 122 parking stalls, bringing the total to 424 spaces. A 23-year-old Eden Prairie man, Seth Theron Pierce, faces six felony charges – including five related to burglary and one for felony theft – after forensic evidence linked him to a burglary in St. Peter last year.
