Illinois-based food Industry redistributor Dot Foods Inc. said Tuesday that it will invest $22 million in an expansion of its distribution center in Burley, Idaho. The company, which said its existing facility hit capacity last year, expects to start construction on the 68,000-square-foot project this summer and complete the work in the summer of 2025. The United States Department of Energy (DOE) on Monday announced it will provide up to $6 billion for 33 decarbonization projects in 20 states. The projects, which are intended to decarbonize energy-intensive industries, will not only "revitalize industrial communities” and allow the country’s manufacturing sector to better compete, the DOE said, but will also support the creation of construction jobs.
