Hey. New to Cherokees and his forum. I have a 2016 Cherokee Sport with factory tow package. While checking the lights on my trailer I arced the 4 prong plug and blew a fuse. I think. When I look at the engine compartment fuse box the spot for the tow light fuses are empty. Did have power to the plug so not sure what to do. There is not any way to put a fuse in the fuse box in the engine compartment. There are no connection points for the trailer lights. I did find a smaller fuse box... Tow Light Fuses ..read more

I’m hoping someone can explain the tow ball weight limit for me. I‘m interested to know is it based on the weight put on the rear suspension or simply what the ball and towbar itself will take? My thoughts are that if I have a vehicle which is only carrying say 1 front passenger plus driver there is obviously much less weight in the rear than if I have rear seat passengers as well plus maybe a load in the boot? Hello there, I am a new owner of a 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk which includes the towing package and the V6 engine. I know that the vehicle is rated with a 4,500 lb towing capacity, but I was curious if anyone had any success or failure with towing a two horse trailer with this car. I have a 2018 Cherokee Trailhawk with factory tow package. I know that the 7-pin connector has a 12v wire, but I've been hearing a lot on the trailer forums that those are notorious for putting out extremely low amperage for charging the trailer battery. I just purchased a 2019 Cherokee latitude one of the big selling points was it has a hitch. After some research I found out it's and aftermarket addition. Making my towing capacity at 2000 lbs. I am looking at a pop up camper that has a dry weight of 2100 lb and I know I will at least need to add propane and a few other things. 2015 cherokee has turned off the tow package plug-ins twice. I bought the jeep new with the factory tow package. Everything worked fine for 2 years then the tow package lights stopped working. At my expense I had the dealer turn the package on. Fast forward...the tow package lights quit working again. I bought a code reader and alphaobd to turn the package back on. Hi Folks! Just got a 13’ Legend Hybrid Sport-Lite Snowmobile trailer. It’s a nice 8.5’x13’ all aluminum hybrid style trailer (see pictures). Trailer only weighs 985lbs. Our two snowmobiles are approx 800lbs & 700lbs respectively. Keeps my tow weight well under our 2020 v6 Trailhawk’s max of 4500lbs.
