My apologies in advance if i'm beating a dead horse. Have done some searching on the topic and find a lot pertaining to the 05-06 years and the recall but not so much on later year titans. I have a 2015 SV that I purchased a little over a month ago. Just yesterday bought a new boat trailer. Noticed upon delivery that all lights were working except the right turn signal and right brake. Both running, left brake, left signal and all marker lights work, no right turn signal or brake. Tried a... No Right Turn Signal or Brake on New Trailer ..read more

This past week I was towing my 22' enclosed trailer with Z racecar through Kansas. It's difficult to fuel up in Kansas with the different blends and cash or credit payment options. Since my Titan is a flex fuel vehicle, there are times when it's tempting (or mandatory) to go the E15 route. My trip out from Colorado went smoothly enough, ahead of an impending winter storm. I still only made 6.5-7.0 MPG on regular unleaded and my '08 Titan LWB SE KC ran smoothly across I-70. That changed on... 2024 E15 towing mileage ..read more

4" Lift Kit and Towing

First off... thank you to all that respond and show interest! Second... I have a 2005 Titan RWD. It has 320+K miles on it and still going strong. I have had to do very little to it over the years owning it. I have a couple things I need to do to it service-wise, like replace the radiator (stupid dual plastic/aluminum leaks) and while I have that out, I'll be updating a couple other things, as well. I want to put a 4" lift kit on it but I also want to install an auto-leveling kit at the... 4" Lift Kit and Towing ..read more

How much can I tow?

I have a 2006 crew cab LE 4x4 with the factory tow package. The sticker in the door only gives me my GVWR, Front GAWR and Rear GAWR. But it doesn't say how much I can actually tow or what the GCWR is. I've seen specifications online that list the towing capacity between 7200lbs to 9500lbs. I've heard mention of a tongue weight of 1000lbs. But none of that is printed on the door sticker ..read more

2012 titan trailer running lights

My Titan has factory tow package. My new trailer has running lights that work. I have tested all the 3 fuse locations and plugged in my trailer brake controller. All works except my running lights. I only have 2 relays under my dash with no place to add another one. When I ground my snapon test light to the truck hitch I get no power at any terminal with my 4 ways on. If I connect to the trailer ground on the hitch I get power. I'm at a loss where to look for the fault. Any help would be... 2012 titan trailer running lights ..read more

2006 Titan - No Running Lights on Trailer

Ok so I have a new-ish to me 2006 Titan. I have the small side mirrors so I'm pretty sure I do not have the BT package. I need to pull my 5x8 utility trailer. There are no trailer brakes, etc, so it's just a 4-pin harness. I know the wiring on the trailer is good because it works 100% on another truck. My issue is: both signal lights work on the trailer, brake lights work on the trailer, but running lights do not work on the trailer. I have read through 5+ threads about this but I wanted to... 2006 Titan - No Running Lights on Trailer ..read more

Hi fellow Nissan owners, First post and hope to be a contributor going forward! I have a 2012 Titan SL with factory tow package. Yesterday I towed a boat for a friend and noticed there was no running lights, but L/R turn signals worked as did brake lights. We tested the trailer with a jump pack and it's not the trailer as all lights worked. I took a test light to the 7 pin adapter and there's power to the + spade, power to R/L turn signals. No juice to the running lights. Found and... 2012 Titan SL 2x2 No trailer running lights ..read more

All, I’m looking to buy a 15 Titan, SL, big tow, 4wd. The Titan was used as a tow behind an RV for around 7 years. Truck was towed in Neutral of course. But should I be concerned here on possible differential, transfer case, or rear end issues ..read more

Titan Pro-4X towing capacity

I have a 2008 Titan Pro-4X without the towing package. I opted not to spend the $$ for the towing package because my truck already has the lower geared rear end, class lV hitch w/seven pin plug, electric trailer brake pre-wiring, heavy duty 710 CCA battery. The only things the actual tow package would add is the extendable towing mirrors (which I don't care for anyway), and the transmission temperature gauge that I don't really need. My question is this: Would my towing capacity be the same... Titan Pro-4X towing capacity ..read more

Dometic roof air conditioner

Is there anyone out there who has a Dometic roof mount AC that, although everything works right (thermostat, compressor, etc) that it's not blowing as cold as it did three years ago? Using a little logic, it seems that the coolant level needs to be "topped off". However, having a mobile tech come look at it, he says that it doesn't have a tap. I've got to assume through reading that tapping it and then putting the correct version of coolant into it would take care of the problem instead of... Dometic roof air conditioner ..read more
