We are new to all the features of our Armada - so this may be a simple question. So far no one at Nissan USA has provided an answer. When backing up, with a trailer in tow, the safety braking feature that recognizes a vehicle behind you is too close, applies the brakes repeatedly. Last month we bought the 2020 Armada SL 2wd for the towing capacity, not that what we are towing even comes close. We are towing a lightweight British Car on a lightweight open trailer. I'm guessing maybe 4000 to 4500 lbs. Question: are any of you using "weight distribution hitches".(WDH).. and what "brake controller" are you using?. My neighbor just bought a 2024 Chevy pickup. He also purchased a Tow Ready 7-way flat pin to 7-way flat pin LED Lamp-Out Bypass adaptor. It fools his truck into thinking he is towing a trailer. When he activates his turn signal, his cameras on that side display the length of his vehicle on his dash screen. Nice feature in busy freeway traffic. I probably should have asked this before I traded in my F250 on the Armada, but I feel pretty confident I am within the acceptable levels on the Armada and the Camper. I have a 2015 Nissan Armada with air shocks for ride comfort but only go up around an inch, rear airbags in springs and timberen enhancement on suspension. Can someone please tell me about the transmission in the 2019 SL for towing? Do I need to consider an after-market transmission cooler? If so, I would look for a Nissan product and not a generic brand unless there is something that is more reliable than the factory product.
