For those who tow what size/length hitch are you using? I have one from my old GX but it seems a bit short so wondering what’s the length you are using along with if it’s dropped or raised at all. Just a general direction before I order another ..read more

Tesla Cybertruck Towing an All Electric RV (Pebble Flow Review and First Drive)
I finally tried towing with the Tesla Cybertruck. But I didn't just tow any trailer... I towed the future of trailers.. the all electric Pebble Flow! And.. I was the only person in the world to do this!
This thing is a game changer especially with electric cars because of the dual motors and a battery pack!!

Most of the miles on my CT have been with an enclosed car trailer with car inside.
My last truck was a Chevy 2500 Dually. I have to say, the CT tows great.
I want to dial in my setup and searched the interwebs but only finding contradicting information. Do I need a weight distribution hitch or not? I dont feel ant sense of the front end feeling light. Nor do I feel any sway. Im towing about 7500 lbs. Some say I need one. While some say the unibody construction wont allow a weight distir...

I’ve wanted to do a towing report since I got my truck. My first time towing my bass boat was two days after taking delivery and didn’t have the mental energy to capture what I wanted with what I had going on that day.
Two days after taking delivery, I was headed to a local lake approximately 50 miles from my house. Not knowing what to expect, I charged the truck to 90% in anticipation of have to possibly use a supercharger about 17 miles away to get home. On...

I’ve noticed that in most cases Teslas need to back in to superchargers because the port is in the back and the cord is very short.
The CT appears to also have the port in the back which will be problematic if it is towing a trailer.
Pull-through superchargers would be really nice but I don’t see this happening any time soon since Tesla has optimized space by placing them on the outside of parking lots.
An extension cord might work, but I assume Tesla designed the short cords to keep...

While waiting for my truck I have been browsing the owner’s manual now that it is live on Tesla’s site and I noticed this section about carrying hitch mounted accessories:
The hitch receiver is designed to support vertical loads up to 160 lb (72 kg). When carrying bicycles, skis, or other items on the Cybertruck's hitch, always check to ensure that the maximum weight is not exceeded. When the carrier weighs 40 lbs (18 kg), the weigh threshold is sufficient for carrying two bicycles weighing...
