Hi! We just moved to the mountains and we have a 3000lb Kubota tractor that is in for service. We would like to get a trailer and pick it up ourselves, but I'm concerned about the safety of towing a tractor that weighs that much PLUS the weight of a trailer - most of the ones we're looking at are 1800ish lbs. I'm looking to get a 4runner tomorrow and trading in what I have now. What I have now on paper should be able to tow my camper but after one nerve-wracking trip, I want something better. Hello! We have a 2018 4Runner and a 2009 Jayco Feather 17' -- weighs about 3000 lbs empty. I am looking at brake controllers. The Curt 51180 Echo Mobile Electric Trailer Brake Controller looks very simple with just plugging it into the 7 pin connectors. Reviews complain that it is fragile, the app may malfunction and may even hinder charging the auxillary battery.
