'21 Atlas here, I m trying to hardwire a Curt Triflex brake controller since I don't have a a plug under the plastic trim. I need to splice onto the wire that gets hot when the brake pedal is pushed down. Interestingly the Atlas doesn't seem to have a brake switch under and up the brake pedal. Instead is seems to be in the engine bay by the master cylinder. I really can't figure out which of the skinny four wires is the one I need. Anyone else run into this ..read more

Hello, am posting this message to see if I can get some insight into a question I have. I originally installed the Pollak 11-893P on my 2018 atlas, recently the flap cover broke off of the Pollak car side oem socket, so I am now looking into replacing the adapter. I tow a couple different trailers, an rv which uses the 7-blade connector and a smaller utility trailer with a 4-pin flat connector. Has anyone used or installed these shocks on VW Atlas cross sports? What's your experience? Pointer to part number would be helpful. I'm trying to figure best solution to keep rear end level while towing. With 350 lbs tongue weight, rear end sage about 2 inches and I'm guessing if I go to the max of 500 lbs, it will drop another inch. I know there has been many of us who have had issues with our 2022 Atlas models and the “5F module“ Roadside display. I’m wondering if there’s a connection between the aftermarket adapters and connecting for Towing that through this off because I’ve been into the dealer three times now for a new 5F module they keep telling me it’s all set and The dashboard strangely looks slightly different however there still is no road sign display and the message just tells me that there are “no signs... What are your thoughts? Would our 21 Atlas SEL V6 AWD be okay towing a 21ft boat? The dry weight on trailer is 4,224 lbs. With gear and some fuel we'd be pushing closer to the 5K limit. Any experience out there towing a similar sized boat with this vehicle? Any modifications needed ..read more

I've been towing with my 2020 Cross Sport and a wireless Curt Echo Brake Controller pretty successfully for the last 2 years. On my last trip, the Curt Echo didn't power on for the return trip. Feel like I tried every combination of start up imaginable but no dice. I know the Atlas doesn't send power unless it can detect a trailer. Trying to troubleshoot it without buying a whole new towing setup unless I have to. Basically trying to isolate if the issue is the TV, controller, or trailer... Testing Power ..read more

Purchased a 2023 Atlas SEL w/factory tow package. Needed a brake controller, tried my current Curt Echo wireless/BT brake controller. Plugged in, tried to sync, showed no power. Finally figured out trailer had to be plugged in for Atlas to power up. Immediately received left and right turn signal error messages on dash and noticed all trailer lights illuminated. Checking, turn signals worked as did brakes. Just had the idiot lights on dash. We used Echo for a trip, no issues, just the error... 2023 Atlas SEL Brake Controller ..read more

Has anyone else had the Front Assist not Avaialble message come up after towing? Did 2 trips over the weekend towing a new boat.
