Hi All, when I optioned my truck I was told that the only option I couldn’t get was the 360 surround trailer view due to parts shortages. I have the soft button on my UC5, but I don’t see any 12-Pin plug located anywhere on my truck. Can anyone tell me what is needed to add it or source the parts ..read more

Hey all, So I installed an OEM trailer brake controller in my 2019 Ram 1500, ended up using an OBDII MX with the FCA security bypass module and AlfaOBD to flash it in myself. Enabled the ITBM and switched the three trailer options to yes like I've read on here. So the options on the 8.4 Uconnect screen come up just fine letting me make the type, name selections etc...but nothing showing up in instrument cluster even when I connected my RV to the truck. Any ideas on that? Does it make a...

Hi, I’m considering a Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi crew cab 4x4 Laramie to use as a daily driver and tow vehicle for a 7,500 lb travel trailer. I definitely want the 3.92 rear end option and any other towing options available. When visiting a local high volume dealer they didn’t have any 1500’s with the 3.92 rear end. I also didn’t notice any with a trailer brake control or towing mirrors. Are these options typically hard to find on the lot? Do most buyers have to order this configuration? Thanks...

I was just wondering what tow package is usually in these trucks. I own a camper and a landscaping business hauling a mower and yard equipment and what not. I'm adding airbags but was just wondering what other lifted ram owners or people who do have the black widow edition use for tow hitch and what not. I already know I need two different hitch systems where the camper coupler is 2 and 5/16inch and utility trailer for mower is 2 in coupler. I'm gonna use weight distributing hitch for both...

I pull a 26ft tongue pull camper it weights 4,260 dry weight. My ram sways quite a bit i dont feel comfortable foing over 60 mph. I have Michelin LT tires. My camper rides level. I use everything I am supposed to use. While pulling I don't really see the camper swaying much just the truck. I was wonder if I need to upgrade to a heavier suspension or what might be the cause? What suspension upgrades are recommended ..read more

After upgrading from a 2022 RAM 1500 Limited to a 2024 RAM 3500 Mega Cab Limited, I was dismayed by the still-buggy U Connect 5 software and its shoddy ability to pair with my old trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensors from my 2022 RAM (Trailer TPMS sensors are Mopar part number # 68516743AA).
In my case, the U Connect bug was that the trailer TPMS screen on the U Connect trailer settings page failed to show an orange indicator and tire-pairing arrow due to U...

2021 Ram 1500 V6, mild-hybrid. I'm towing a travel trailer with a lithium battery. Battery was fully charged prior to leaving; when arrived at camp site battery was fully discharged. I don't know if this has to do with the truck or another issue. Anyone have insight ..read more

Went and picked up my Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Forest pulling my Aluma 77x10’ trailer. It was slightly hilly in Mississippi, but was shocked at low fuel economy even at 65 mph. Also shocked at how much it down shifted to maintain the 65 mph and this was only towing 2100/lbs.
The fuel economy was also terrible at 11 mpg, I have the 3.92 rear axle ratio.
So now I am wondering what would it be like towing my 20’ utility trailer loaded with 8k pounds?
It is a steep learning curve coming from diesel...
