Just got back from picking up a bunch of bags of topsoil at Walmart. The truck barely sagged. Just a couple of inches. I did the calculation when I got home and I was 358lbs over payload. Truck performed perfectly. I've never owned a truck (except SUVs) nor towed, but my wife wants a food trailer, and I want a mini-truck, specifically an X-Runner. I'm weird and love MTs (2 of our 21 cars we've owned in the past were automatics (just because there are no desirable modern MT SUVs)), and unique vehicles. I pulled this ~60 miles today. A combination of 2lane county roads and 10 mile uphill pull on RT80. The wind pushes it a bit. I kept my speed at 60. It was on full boost a lot going up hill. Hi all, I posted a few weeks ago about the wiring harness in my 2017 Tacoma melting at the plug for trailer brake controllers. After weeks of battling it out with Toyota and Horizon Global (maker of the Tekonsha P3) I was able to get Horizon Global to cover the nearly $6000 repair to my truck.
