If I were to get a 1500 Elevation with the Max tow package which brings the tow capacity to ~13,000 and then after market add a 2" lift kit to get the extra clearance to get closer to the AT4/AT4X. Is there any way to estimate the tow capacity of making this upgrade to an Elevation? Does it just bring it back down closer to an AT4/AT4X and I should just get the AT4/AT4X. 6.2L engine, 2023 AT4X and I do have Timbren SES system on the rear. Car is a 3500# corvette, trailer curb weight they say is 2000#s. Truck is rated at 8700#s and 870 tongue weight. Tow distance is roughly 950 miles round trip all SE part of country MS, AL, GA then some mountain climbing last 20 miles of the trip. Not asking for mpg I know it will suck the gas at 65-70 mph. Hey everyone, I currently have a Ford raptor. I need to trade that in. I was planning on getting a super duty but would prefer to stay with a half ton. My boat is about 5000 pounds. The thing I don’t like about my raptor is that when I’m towing my boat, I “know” it’s back there. It performs OK but I’m definitely aware of the boat. Just got home from picking up a new snowmobile trailer in MN. Light trailer, 2500 lbs. 18ft box plus 6ft v nose - 7 ft height inside. Truck was downright sketchy at times. I believe it is the crappy "C" load rated tires as it feels like it is squirming all around. trailer was super pight which makes it get blown around a little more, but it was definitely making the truck wiggle and move in the lane. Coming from a Denali HD 6.6 Duramax so this may be a stupid question. I have the 23 AT4X with 6.2L gas engine and 10 speed transmission and towed first time this past week with a 6x10 open trailer with two dual sport motorcycles on it. Not a lot of weight maybe 550 in motorcycles and 700 lb trailer maybe. Mileage was not that good at over all 13.2 mpg for 480 miles. Head wind on the way home hurt the overall average. Hi All, I am looking at a 2021 AT4 with the 3.0 Duramax, unless you all have a different suggestion. Currently I am towing my 2011 Outdoors RV Backcountry with a 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty. Problem is, the Ford is not a crew cab, and as the kids and dog(s) are getting bigger, they have less room.
