Who ever say these trucks cant tow is full of it. Tows better than my 2016 Ram 1500. Squats less, pulls much harder (duh) and controls down hill steep grades easily. Cruised down the interstate @ 80mph great with very little sway. The Hellcat feels a little better than the Jeep but both felt fine. So if you were worried about towing like me don't it's fine. My trx is all stock for now and Ive towed some stuff with it including one of my vipers on an open car trailer all the way from florida to tennessee and back, no issues towed like a dream just some squat, I recently was at a gas station and saw a f150 with a leveling hitch towing a aluminum 2 car trailer with 2 bmw's on it, truck was barely squatting and I talked to the owner and he said the only thing was the hitch, so that got me thinking, if put airbags on my trx, and buy one of... I would like to trailer my TRX from CO to FL and I am looking for companies where I can rent a trailer big enough to load the TRX on, so a trailer that can load 6k lbs. the obvious options like U-Haul etc were already contacted and their trailers are too small or have a weight limit of under 5k lbs. While I only tow very occasionally, I did pull a another new Maverick Hybrid 150 miles home on a U-Haul vehicle transport trailer with surge brakes. Those U-Haul trailers are actually designed well and it towed just fine (even with the surge brakes). I suspect that loaded trailer weight was ~5400lbs. When I was loading the new Maverick one of the guys came out from the Dodge side of the (dual) Ford/Dodge dealership and joked that he had never seen a TRX actually tow anything... I'm getting some upgrades done to the boat and the shop doing it is 200 miles away. The boat is kept on a lift at my house so I haven't towed it since I got the truck in February. The boat/trailer combo weigh 7500lbs. The boat is balanced on the trailer so the 600lb tongue weight is where it should be. The route was 95% flat interstate with the cruise control set at 70mph. So when i bought my TRX it didn't have the brake controller installed. I just recently purchased the OEM controller for just over $180. Now to flash it. I've seen OBD genie from infotainment.com or should i just take it to the dealer. Obd genie runs about 180 by itself and i'm a little skeptical if it works. I just like the idea of being able to do it at home in 5 min, if it actually works like it says. any thoughts or opinions? thanks in advance ..read more
