I am wondering if any Gen 3 owners would mind sharing their payload numbers off the door sticker or even post a picture, like mine which reads: 1,390 lbs.
Apparently there is a configuration that is over 1,900 lbs! With that config you will probably have to sit on a plastic milk crate! Does this unicorn even exist?
I am looking at the different trims and options to see where the biggest hits to the payload are occurring
My trim is Crewmax Limited L with TRD offroad - Canadian Version....

Hey yall I’ve seen some threads about towing with a 4.6L and no trans cooler and now I’m a little concerned. Long story short I’m suppose to tow a buddy’s gf car to another city (San Antonio to Houston). I checked if the previous owner installed a trans cooler and unfortunately they did not. I’m not as experienced in this field so this is why I’m here. Should I be concerned of my transmission over heating? Any advice will help. Thanks in advance ..read more

FYI-
if you get lured into buying any of their products, for instance tow mirrors ($300-550), you will need to replace them entirely when you mis-judge the clearance of an object and break a lens cover ($10-30) or other component.
Please correct me if I am wrong ..read more

I'm looking to get a travel trailer that I'd be towing from Oklahoma to the PNW and I wanted to see what kind of experiences you guys have had with towing on lifted Tundras. I don't know exactly how big the lift is but it's up there and I've got 35s on it. Currently looking at a few trailers and the best deal is 26' and weighs 4500 lbs. I figure that might be alot of trailer, especially with the wind while going through Kansas and Wyoming, but just wanted to get your guys' thoughts on it....

Today I was moving a tractor on a double axle, pipe-rail trailer and as I was climbing up a small incline on a gravel road, I heard a pop and then a boom! Stopped the truck and turns out the air suspension bag on the right side of the truck ruptured.
The tractor weighs 4000# and the trailer about 3000#. Loaded it pretty level but maybe a tad tongue-heavy, but nothing major. Assuming the tongue weight was 1000# +/-
I was in rural Texas so I limped the whole rig about 7 miles to a place...

I realize a Toyota forum may not be the best place to ask this but there are some very knowledgable people here that also use HD trucks so I figured I may as well ask.
I've been shopping for a new truck for a while now and finally decided to rule out the 3rd gen Tundra (not enough payload) and step up to an HD.
I'm looking at new trucks with gas engines, 4x4, crew cab. So far my order of preference is;
1. GM 3500
2. Ford F350
6. Ram 3500
Does anyone have any experience with the 6.6 gasser...

I think my 2023 tundra platinum and my travel trailer rig has a weight distribution problem. I have gathered the following information from the ratings sticker on the loaded tundra and the trailer during a trip this weekend. I also measured the loaded weight on a cat scale and at the receiver.
Sticker Rating/Actual measurement
Front axle - 4080/3560
Rear axle - 3960/4420
Total - 7840/7980
Trailer - 8800/6960
Tongue - 955/1350
I am using a 1200 pound rated distribution hitch. The rig is...

I am new to horse hauling and have a 2023 Tundra 4x2. My trainer is concerned that the truck will not be able to safely pull a warmblood size trailer with my 1200 lb horse. Some people have suggested that I overhaul the suspension for safety and comfort for my horse. Any advice on what is recommended? Also have been told not to get a gooseneck since the bed on the truck is too short ..read more

I have a 2024 tundra Trd pro that I just purchased to tow my 5000 pound RV. I do have a swaybar and leveling kit and it still seems to squat a little bit and the front end seems to be a little Squirrley I was wondering if anybody knew if that could be torqued down. Or what I could do to help ..read more
