I just ordered a 3500 with the Tow-Mode Camera option...so I have months to figure this out. I have started to pre-ponder how I will run the camera wire through our 5th wheel. We currently have a wireless Haloview camera on the back of the trailer. It is nice but has a bit of a lag. I am looking forward to the hard-wired version showing up in the mirror. I’ve had my new 2024 Longhorn 2500 for a month. It came with a trailer camera witch I had mounted in our camper and it plugs into the designated port on the bumper to the left of the license plate. The camera Image comes up on the rearview mirror. But not on the aux2 screen on the dashboard monitor. The aux2 is just a blue screen and it’s my understanding that the camera image should come up on aux2. The Service department can’t seem to get it to work. Anyone else have this issue, or know... Getting ready for our first trailer towing with our new ‘24 2500 with factory airbags. I’ve been doing some research, but wanted to run it by the experts here. I use a blue ox sway pro wdh if that matters. With the exception of disabling/enabling the airbags, it’s the same process I used with our 1500 without airbags. Is the 7-way truck side connector fused? If so, would each wire be fused independently of the truck side? Meaning if my tow connector running wire (brown) popped a fuse, would the truck also lose running lights? I was just towing my boat back to the storage place, and I lost all running lights on the trailer side 1/4mi from destination. Odd that they would all go out unless the main line had no power. Just got my new travel trailer. I hook up and I select vehicle and then dashboard, then towing and trailers which shows me all the guages, gain, oil psi, etc. First time I did this Only the brake controller gain was showing, and none of the other guages were active or working.
