The Meco Rocket Simulator Development Timeline as of November 12, 2023 Dear Meco Fan, I want to highlight that while the schedule serves as a guiding illustration, the intricate nature of our work means it’s not set in stone. The complex layers of development introduce variables that can shift timelines despite our best efforts. The phased releases are outlined to ensure focused development, but I’m prepared to adjust as needed to maintain standards.  Status markers like ‘Done,’ ‘Shortlist,’ and ‘Backlog’ provide a snapshot of where we are, but these, too, can evolve as the project d ..read more

Dear Fans, At this point, I am apprehensive about giving you another date for the release as my never-ending optimism is at odds with estimating how fast work can be done. That said, the light at the end of the tunnel is visible! So we are looking at days or weeks instead of months. I am pleased to say that Meco’s UI is coming along well. For some reason, I made it a responsive UI, meaning the UI should work fine on a 4k Monitor down to an iPad and even on a 5-inch Android phone! But hold your horses; unless there is enough demand, we’ll stick to PCs for now.  For today’s update, I ..read more

I’m excited to share the following update on the state of Meco Rocket Simulator.   As always, I have remained firm in crafting a high-quality product. The side-effect is increased delivery time. That said, I am confident you will appreciate the result.   A major decision was made to migrate Meco from my custom game engine to Electron and Babylon.JS to ensure that development can be focused on the simulation kernel’s features rather than the game engine’s features.   As a result, I am pleased to note that the UI code is in a good position to be open-sourced for modification a ..read more

This article was written not long after the Kickstarter ended in March 2023 but was unpublished until April 19 2023. × Dismiss this alert. Kickstarter Detour Meco’s Kickstarter is a success! Now how that conspired is quite a story – It started with a sanity check for good measure, as I was convinced that Patreon was the way to go to raise funds for development. However, the poll said otherwise: So I scrambled. If I were to launch Meco in April, its Kickstarter must be done and dusted before March. That gave me only a month to set up the campaign. All in all, I am glad the Kickstarter was don ..read more

Jan 17, 2020, was the date I started this project. It has been a long, arduous journey but often rewarding. For almost three years, I labored on without knowing if the work would be appreciated, not that it mattered; I am doing this because I enjoy it. Just that it would be fantastic if others could benefit from it too. Meco’s Twitter is now on track to grow past 1000 followers before Christmas. Hundreds of people have subscribed to the newsletter and added the game to their wishlist on Steam. Meco likely has the beginnings of a cult following, and I could not be more grateful and energized ..read more
