Not once, but three times. But now, it is finally happening. Am I ready? There is that little voice inside that shouts "NO! You haven't trained enough - what if you get lost?" But yet, I will go. Let's day dream a bit ... Imagine your cousin lives just off the coast in a charming village in Brittany. She invites you to come for a week and just cook together, explore and improve your French, all while having fun. There is a multitude of seafood, including freshly gathered oysters, accompanied by crisp apple cider. Every day there is a new adventure: wandering through a picturesque village or searching for a hidden beach along the rugged coastline. Just a silly daydream? It doesn't have to be! She may not be your aunt, but Christine Todd will feel like family by the end of your stay. She ..read more

Want to add a little French touch to your Christmas? Here are 3 simple ways to "frenchify" your holidays. With so many lovely traditions, you can celebrate your French heritage, or just add that sophisticated touch that reminds you of a country you love. After some 30-40 trips abroad, I have learned a thing or two! These tips may just make your next trip the best one yet. 1. I want to see it all! You are planning a trip abroad. You look at a map and think "Europe is so small and cute! Everything seems so close!" And with the ever-soaring price of international airline tickets, you think "as long as I am over here I might as well go to X, Y and Z countries as well". You are not wrong, but what starts out as a trip to see one specific place can easily turn into a dizzying multi-city, country-skipping, whirlwind adventure. Don't get me wrong, it ..read more

November is Wine Month The harvest is over - it is time to celebrate! The region of Burgundy has some of the most prestigious wines in France, and during the month of November, these wines are the star of the show. Let the festivities begin! Beaujolais The picturesque region of Beaujolais made such an impression on me last fall, that I not only came back this fall, but have made it an annual event. The warm welcome of the people ... the rolling vineyards peppered with quaint villages ... the amazing restaurants ... and of course the wine - it all won me over. https://youtu.be/qaBJQSfkZ-c This ..read more
