Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has disclosed that another tranche of N2 billion has been paid to the immediate past local government chairmen in the state. The former local government chairmen, elected on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, were paid a lump sum as part of their entitlements. Comrade Philip Shaibu, the ousted Deputy Governor of Edo State, has slammed Edo State House of Assembly members who impeached him on Monday. One of the prominent governorship aspirants of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Paul Akintelure, is dead. Akintelure died in the early hours of Tuesday, according to sources.
