It looks as if we are for the rain parade this week. Fog will take over tonight. Heavy dense fog near the big lake is likely. The early morning commute maybe impacted with poor visibilities. By mid-morning fog will start to burn off and we should start to see more clearing, paving the way for some afternoon sun. Many parts of the region will return to the mid-50s and lower 60s. This will be a brief window of sun as round 2 of more rain arrives late Wednesday through Thursday. This will bring in some scattered showers and potentially some thunderstorms. Wednesday will get windy again out of the ..read more

Sarah Stock, a registered dietitian at St. Luke’s, is helping us demystify how to eat healthily on a budget, saying that it doesn’t have to be boring. Reducing our food waste is one of the ways we can save money. Meal planning can help you do so. “Just taking 40 minutes a week to prepare some of your food ahead of time to plan out a few meals. You don’t have to plan out something for every single day. But start thinking of some theme meals.” We know that eating at home is more cost effective than eating at a restaurant, but it also allows you the opportunity to control how it’s prepared. “Thin ..read more

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is moving toward reclassifying marijuana as a less dangerous drug. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? Technically, nothing yet. The proposal must be reviewed by the White House Office of Management and Budget, and then undergo a public-commen ..read more

Staging can make a big difference when prepping a home for the real estate market. It’s Tidy Details’ specialty, whether it’s new construction or a longtime family home. At an April stage of a vacant home in Hermantown, Kaitlyn Beise said staging is all about potential. “We love when a home isn’t just like a fresh new construction, because then we can get more creative with the styles that we use, maybe get a little bit more shabby chic with things and show the potential,” she said. “It doesn’t always have to be like a brand new construction to really appreciate. And sometimes, the bones of th ..read more

CHICAGO (AP) — Former President Donald Trump says in a new interview it should be left to the states whether to prosecute women for abortions or whether to monitor women’s pregnancies. He declined to comment on access to the abortion pill mifepristone, which has been embroiled in an intense legal battle. In an interview published Tuesday by Time magazine, Trump responded to questions about how he would handle various abortion questions if elected by repeatedly saying it should be left up to the states. “You don’t need a federal ban,” the presumptive Republican presidential nominee said. “Roe v ..read more
