As I write this message my heart is full because I just got off a phone with the medical team in Haiti.  My heart is full despite the chaos and the unflattering images projecting out of Haiti. My heart is full as I met with the medical team — Natacha, Wilner, Dr. Jeff, and Miss Macdala — to brainstorm on converting our clinic in Zorangé into a community hospital. I was able to meet with both the Medical team and School leadership on video through Starlink satellite service! Wilner was able to get service established at all the buildings (school, clinic, dorm, church, and the radio st ..read more

Some of you may know our Power Team (consisting of Chris, Mike, Mark, Jeremy, Mitch and others) had planned to go to Haiti to boost our system in Bainet.  Chris and Mike had worked up a plan to go and replace the system we had in Bainet because it wasn’t producing enough for our freezers and refrigerators, etc. The local utilities company hasn’t been able to provide us with any electricity.  Because of the safety concerns in Haiti, we cancelled a trip that was planned for November 2022. Another one that was planned for April 2023 was also cancelled.  Mea ..read more

May 1st is Labor Day in Haiti, a national holiday to commemorate Agriculture and Labor. The land has deep value for Haitians, as so many grow their own food due to ever-changing prices at markets and grocery stores. This is a very famous holiday in Haiti, and our young students were celebrating our production from the farm and trees. Enjoy these photos from our 2023 celebration, featuring Hope for Haiti Foundation students at Unifée, a primary and secondary school in Zorangé. The idea to create this video tour of Unifée was born while discussing how the school is operating and the desire to capture some of the school leadership team members. The team in Haiti wanted to have a video that they could share with the entire staff, so this was produced by Samy prod100% in Haiti. We hope that once people see this short video and a display of what the school represents and provides to the community, it creates a sense of pride for our team in Haiti and a groundswell of support here in the US.
