I’ll start by saying I hate my job, so much, it’s making me completely miserable and giving me all kinds of mental health issues. My contract is up in 6 weeks though so yay. Anyway, I wake up m-f at 6/6:30 am. When my alarm goes off I feel like I’d rather die than wake up at that moment (maybe because i hate my job?) Might sound like a stupid question but I'd love some answers anyway, as maybe it can just be a natural thing like dreaming is. I talk and move a lot in my sleep. Sometimes I even half-realize I'm doing so, but it still feels like a dream. I'm thinking I should go to the doctor and ask about possibly getting a sleep study or something. So I'm in a bit of an interesting dilemma here. 1.5 years ago, I fell in love for the first time. Im fairly young & it felt magical. I couldn't stop thinking, fantasizing & creating fake scenarios about that person in my head. I’m currently on study leave from work and it’s all online and I basically have no reason to leave my house. I’ve fallen into a bad pattern of not sleeping until 10-11am and waking up at 6-8pm. I just lay in bed and I can’t sleep and I’m just twiddling my thumbs. I’ve tried melatonin and antihistamines but nothing really works. So I apparently enter REM as soon as I fall asleep which is very abnormal. Almost every single time I sleep I will dream right away and wake up and find only half an hour to an hour has passed and I have had a full dream. In recent months these have often turned to nightmares. The nightmares happen 95% of the time right after I first fall asleep. After that I can usually be assured I won't have any more. I(19f) am indian and i have strict parents . our family is also very enmeshed where I literally have nobody to talk to or spend time with except my parents since I cant go out of the house for any reason whatsoever . i hate it but its fine .
