I got a turbo diesel Mercedes sprinter work van, I've never owned a diesel till now. Today after I got off the freeway and stopped at a light I had terrible acceleration and it struggle getting up to speed and I noticed I couldn't really hear the turbo anymore. Did the turbo just blow or could it be low exhaust fluid? And if it's exhaust fluid does it affect the turbo at all? submitted by /u/confusedwithlovee [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

2006 Dodge Ram 3500 megacab dually with the 5.9/6speed G56 and 4x4. I love the whole combination since it’s not often you see this configuration. We bought the truck a few years ago with around 130k miles and more or less used it as a ranch truck to pull hay bales and other equipment and it’s been a solid truck. Any body damage like the driver door dent and whatever else I’ve missed was already on the truck when we bought it, as well as the driver seat tear. The front bumper has some lights attached but look quite old and the wiring’s been just hanging nearby, not sure when it was torn/di ..read more

Hello guys, just a noob questions,I was just wondering what would happen if there is no boost to the AFC on a 24v 5.9 Cummins VE mechanical pump,yes...it will basically hinder the performance by defueling the engine but, could it also reduce fuel consumption??? submitted by /u/Otherwise-Green3877 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

We checked it out in person and it was nearly flawless, obviously babied. Salesperson said it was a hotshot delivering RVs and he traded it in for a brand new one. What issues could I expect and what should I watch out for? Thanks! Edit: It will be used to haul our RV full time, around 20k. submitted by /u/JarsOfToots [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

So my wife and I are looking at switching to a diesel from our Ram gasser. We are towing a large toy hauler with two motorcycles in it and camping gear, riding gear, all that. We get 8 mpg and it can't even go highway speed without revving high and just plain struggling. we are at its max capacity, maybe over. We don't know anything about diesels, but these seem to be in the price range and solid? Our gasser is the 3 something liter V6 with electric torque motor. submitted by /u/Maximum_Talk_696 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
