Anyone had/seen issues with the fuel systems on the 24 6.6L Duramaxs?
My dad has a 24' model with 6500 miles.. it's in the shop with the entire fuel system tore down due to metal found. It's been there 3 weeks and they can't get all the parts... from what he said, this part was the one they are waiting on.. the service manager said he was 5xx out of 1000 customers waiting for this same part.. Sucks, GM hasn't tried to help and he can't pull his equipment with a half-ton.. so he needs the...

I have a 2021 half ton Duramax.
I had an oil consumption test done and according to dealer, the truck used 1 quart in 2000 miles. Dealer says this is within acceptable limits and will not do anything about it. When oil is off the stick I have ALWAYS put in 1 quart to get back to normal level. 3 times to dealer with nothing on the stick and they say 1/2 quart low each time.
Anywhere I can get help on this ..read more

Noises after shut down. Is this really normal?
2020 Chevrolet Duramax 3.0 engine shut down.
GM tells me this is the throttle plate being activated after shut down to clear any soot deposits. I can't believe they would put this out on the market!

Hi guys, nice to be here seeking help and info from fellow Duramax owners. I purchased my 2024 Silverado 1500 RST Crew Cab long bed 3.0 Diesel in Sep. '23. By the way, the build date on this truck was on 25 Aug. '23. I picked the truck at dealership on 2 Sep. '23, just nine days later, and this was a factory order. It was built at the Fort Wayne, IN plant and was shipped and received at my Dealership in Orangeville, ON, Canada, about 45 miles north of Toronto on 31 Aug. '23, in just 7 days...

Hello folks,
I successfully repaired my coolant control valve at home, no dealer fees, or WAITING for spare parts required…My 21 Sierra started throwing the P1098 code at 63k miles and blasting fans at 100% power. For a while I could restart the engine and it would go away, eventually that stopped working. I learned it was the coolant control valve that was having problems (24001355) and it is on a 5+ month back order. I decided to try repairing it on my own while I waited for parts…It was...

Hey guys, Newby here and I wanted to confirm with y'all..
Do I need to upgrade the upper control arms if I'm installing Bilstein 5100? There are lots of "opinions" floating the interwebs, but really looking for feedback from those that replaced their Rancho's for Bilstein 5100 specifically. What ring position on the front strut is considered too high for stock UCA's ..read more
