Hi I am trying to time a 3406c that I put the IPD 14.6 steel top pistons in with marine injectors. I have read a lot of YNOTS recipes. I see I am supposed to static time at 17.5. Another thing I read on here was that cat has them set for two degrees advance at 1000rpm. I also seen where YNOT stated to have start screw at 1250rpm.... how does it advance at 1000 if it doesn't start until 1250. Do you even need to worry about full advance? If so where should it be? Years ago I installed a GOS Performance in my '06 F-350 PSD. Since then, one relay has failed and I need to replace it. At first, I thought it would the standard Bosch-type relay but it isn't. Should have put in a 400 BC III when engine needed work. Hauled a load of grain home from the field last night this morning looks like overflow puked out a little coolant. Drove this morning and high coolant temp light came on. Coolant temp in passage to thermostat was 250. Guage read 150! All rad hoses etc were cool. Coolant filter was only 100 F. I have a 98 IH 2554 with a DT466 and Alison electric shift tranny. I've been having on again off again electrical issues the last coup[e seasons. I plowed snow and all was good. Now it sat for over a month and when I went to use it the display goes off and then and back on and it's in neutral. I hit the D and it goes right back into gear.
