So good news is TCL is clearly going to try to win our market. Fantastic news! After the likes of Panasonic and Philips pulling out of our market (TVs) this is great news. TCL is a brand that is really pushing the likes of Sony, LG, Samsung etc for features & technology in their sets while offering a very competitive price. TCLs line-up just behind their flagship range is the really interesting one, they don’t really miss out on many features & hardware specs compared to their flagship model (not the case for Sony, LG, Samsung) but offer a far greater value for money.

It is strange to see that Safi’s YouTube channel has gone. He posted a teaser video in January to promise more. madVR HTPC content. His guide was instrumental in my HTPC MadVR build, with further videos re negotiating Nolan’s aspect changes in MadVR. I hope his channel returns. He was a great YouTuber and all round nice guy!

Simple Home Cinema – 9 Jan 24
Dynamic Light Steering Coming to Consumer Projectors Sooner than We Thought
Dynamic Light Steering could re-define the Home Cinema Projector market sooner than we thought.
This is something new but perhaps not new to Hisense UST fans. This technology may give an edge for DLP projectors to finally compete against the top dogs in the projector relam. JVC and Sony should be fearful?

when we talk about TV OS, the first thing that comes to most consumers’ mind will be either Android or Google, as well as basic Linux based SMART TV OSes where different makers will have their own little customization.
besides the above mentioned, some will have impressions of webOS, ROKU, FireTV, TIZEN as well as VIDAA… the latter 2 that had been pushed hard by Samsung and HiSense.
2024 we may see some non-mainstream OS gaining a firmer stand in the market.
to gamers, the TV they buy may turn into a personal gaming device, thanks to cloud gaming. HiSense together with their “bought over” bran ..read more
