Curious if there is significant improvement going from the NX9 to NZ9... anyone have any thoughts? It would not be professionally calibrated... don't think there is anyone in this area that does them anyway. What I'd ideally like is a UST projector or a OLED/QLED at close to 100", but I don't think UST will ever compete with the NX9/NZ9 long throw. I'm not sure about the large LED TV displays. So are all modern 4K movies shot in widescreen? Am I losing out by using a 16x9 screen? What size widescreen would be comparable too a 100” 16x9 screen? As I have upgraded my projector and receiver ...currently adding 4 speakers....my weakest point in my theater would be my screen. A basic white $300 16x9 100” fixed framed. A friend of mine is prepping to receive his new JVC NZ9 (25th Anniversary Edition) projector. This is a limited run of 25 PJs, housing what JVC says are the best, most accurate imaging chips they have to offer. Tested and hand selected... and each projector is calibrated by Kris Deering. Guys I have a cheapo projector for outside use but everytime I use it if find myself having to move it back and forth because it overfills the 100" screen or the screen sides aren't filled like 16:9 for example. Also one side of the film is higher then the other side even when centered.
