Hi all, hope you can help advise on my plan to create a UK subsidiary in the US and then petition (via L1 visa) for my project manager. In the near future if all goes accordingly, the Project Manager will look to convert from L1A to Green Card permanent residence. Anytime in 2024 or early 2025 latest, I plan to create an LLC (subsidiary) of my UK company in the US. It will be a virtual office at first with the intention of petitioning the Project Manager, who has worked for my company for 10-year, on a L1A visa to go to the US, seek and establish a physical office somewhere in the US and cont ..read more

Hello everyone, I have prepared my I-140 NIW application and wish to submit it to USCIS. The application will be submitted to a lockbox. I am not in the US and do not have a US bank account, so my payment options are very limited. I also know no one who can pay on my behalf in the US. Do you know if an international bank draft in US dollars issued by a non-US financial institution is accepted by USCIS? Does anyone have experience with this? what are possible payment options except asking friends or relative to pay in the US ..read more

So i went with my husband April 4th for the interview his was approved and I was given a 221g, I then received an email to pay my reciprocity fee 2 weeks later. I went to the embassy on Monday 22nd and paid my $90 she took my passport and my status on ceac is now approved. I was told I’d get tracking when the passport was shipped but she gave me no idea of time or anything. can anyone advise roughly how long it takes for it to change to issued and passport returned?? My husbands was issued the next day which hasn’t been the case for me. thanks so much ..read more

Hi, I’ve been in the US on L-1A visa for 2 years. My partner has been here on an E-2 for the same amount of time. My employer recently got bought out by a PE Firm, and new ownership are less than desirable. I won’t be getting fired, but workload is off the charts and progression is limited. We’re getting married at the end of the year. I know I can file I-539 to change to E-2S and look for new opportunities. I have the following Qs: - what is an estimated timeline for the switch and getting a new job? Looks like I don’t need EAD with recent rule changes. - is premium processing available ..read more

Well I csn finally say my dealing with USCIS is pretty much over bar global entry renewal. Interview on Monday, oath on Tuesday in Tampa. N400 was fastest and easiest thing I’ve done here ..read more

So I went for my visa interview Monday 8th, and received my passports today on the 10th. All quite smooth. 1. They no longer give you back stamped I-129S on day of interview but instead give it to you alongside passports. My lawyer had informed me I would get the form back, but embassy stated a recent change in rules. I did ask if I could take a photo, and they agreed, so worth asking. 2. Do your best to upload acceptable pictures with the D-160, saves you taking pictures on the day at the embassy - it is not too much extra time, but if you are family it will take a little time. 3. The staff ..read more

B1/B2 Renewal Administrative Processing

I'm a UK citizen but ineligible for ESTA because of a criminal record (only one offence). I previously had a B1/B2 visa issued no problem back in 2014, after being denied for an ESTA (I checked "Yes" on the CIMT question on the ESTA as that was what was advised to do). The visa was issued without any kind of waiver being required or anything like that, and I was told by the consulate officer on the spot I was approved. I've recently been back to renew my visa as it's been 10 years, and the officer told me that my application was "temporarily refused" as it needs further administrative process ..read more
