Dead Space Remake – Review

Dead Space was an unexpected treat when it was originally released. It gave new life to the Survival Horror genre which was starting to stagnate and was shockingly out of character for EA who’d started drifting more and more into multiplayer titles. Now years later, this title once again is getting a chance to reshape the landscape in 2023, with the Dead Space Remake. And perhaps it will prove just why people continue to support Electronic Arts after all this time. Space Odyssey  Dead Space is the story of Issac Clark, an engineer whose girlfriend Nicole had taken up a post on the spaces ..read more

Survival Horror is making a comeback and Science Fiction is in! These are two of my favorite things, so imagine finding out that Playism, Humble Games & rose-engine had partnered up to bring us Signalis, a Sci-Fi Survival Horror. Could this be a match made in cyberhell?. Time for Technobabble  Signalis puts you in control of an android called Elster. You get activated and your primary goal is to find your commander Ariane. The game refers to this relationship as Replika and Gestalt, which instantly drew my mind to the NieR franchise. After a brief tutorial, Elster finds herself i ..read more

Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise – Review

Deadly Premonition is one of those titles that has a real cult following but didn’t manage to avoid the ire of the AAA journalists. It ended up in a spotlight it was never designed for due to its quirky story and janky graphics. Despite this reception, it was followed by the release of Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise in 2020 on Nintendo Switch. Two years later, it suddenly shadow dropped on Steam. Should Have Stayed Hidden Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise sees Federal Agent Francis Zach Morgan being interrogated by two other federal agents while he is in a rather decre ..read more

Life starts from an egg for a creature called a trebhum, and our newly hatched trebhum, small but curious, peers out into a strange world. At that same moment, a great endless Cylinder wakes from its slumber. Slowly it rouses; faster it grows—rumbling, rolling, crushing, consuming—eternal and inevitable. The trebhum flees the destruction as fast as its little feet can carry it. For who can stand before The Eternal Cylinder? Thus begins the odyssey of The Eternal Cylinder and the tiny trebhum who dwell in its shadow–one of the most unique games I’ve experienced. The concept is fascinating, and ..read more

Horror games just aren’t that scary. At least that’s my experience. I know a lot of people love to play these to give themselves nightmares, but not me. So why is this horror-skeptic playing The Persistence? It all started at a game expo called EGX. I donned a VR headset and fell in love with surviving through all types of ‘zombies’. Some time on, they freed the game from virtual reality, also bringing it to non-VR players across a wide spread of platforms. So did this one scare me? How is it in VR? And how did the transition from virtual reality headset to monitor go? Let’s find out. Creepy ..read more

The Walking Dead Onslaught – VR Review

As someone who has been playing virtual reality games since the first consumer Oculus headset came out, I have seen and played many zombie games on VR. Some were mediocre and some were quite fun. For The Walking Dead Onslaught though, this game’s main attraction is the familiarity of the characters brought to life in virtual reality, but in the actual gameplay department, it falls short of exceptional. Stay for The Walking Dead, Not the Game What really attracted me to this game is The Walking Dead itself. Seeing a lot of people’s fan-favorite characters Rick and Daryl ..read more
