The volume measurement of wood on the field has always been approximated and handmade process and either it was given by the professional’s skill and experience or it was a long and rather tedious process because it must to be done for each of the logs the pile, using different formulas and making tis process quite complicated. World wood production growth due to biomass and construction
According to the latest data from FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization), timber production has grown for the sixth consecutive year. This increase is due to growth in Asian markets, increased construction in North America and the expansion of bio-fuels.

Forestry jobs are not easy. We find different difficulties in the field, others due to climatic conditions and, above all, on the access.
