@Dhillman @Beeza66 So pleased EC isn’t serving up anything too awful although I’m sure its not plain sailing.
how our lives have changed. Yet the world still spins and we all seem to be finding pleasure in nature, silence, children. I often wonder how I will emerge from this.
hugs to you for being my dose of inspiration today as I get 9/12 weekly carbo taxel tomorrow - and edge closer to the finale of 4 EC every three weeks.

@Nat1984 Thanks for checking on me. I haven’t found EC too bad so far. I’m on 2/3. I find that the first few days of EC are tougher than EC, but on my first cycle I then had 2 weeks that were almost totally normal. So that was nice. I took a little trip with my husband and got out and about more. My hair isn’t faring that well. I’ve been consistently shedding on the EC even with the cold cap. I hadn’t lost that much on the Paclitaxel, but it had thinned a bit by the end. Anyways. I have one more treatment of EC on August 15 and then move on from chemo!
I am glad that your hair is ..read more

Hi Valerie
Thank you for your post.
It is understandable that you are seeking information about caring for your nails after completing chemotherapy and waiting for one more Herceptin injection.

Many people ask about supplements. There is often the belief that they are considered natural. However, supplements don’t have to comply with the same regulations or rigorous testing that conventional medicines ..read more

Hello dear friends.
How are you all coping ?
im fine. The nausea has gone it only lasted 1.5 days after my first chemo cycle. Since coming off the steroids I’ve been ok though slight less energy than normal. However, I’m managing a decent 30 min walk a day which is keeping me active.
No hair has fallen yet - I did wear the cold cap but im quite expecting clumps to come out over the next cycle.
i’m managing the filgrastrim injections on my own (self injecting). The first time it was a bit daunting but it needs to be done. I haven’t experienced any side effects from these ..read more

I’ve left a messages for breast support nurse to ring me to see if she can find out why my wait is so long for RT compared to others. I realise everyone is different though. Good luck ..read more

Yes, I was in Effexor during Tamoxifen and tapered off it afterwards - it seems less risky. I was discharged from oncology years ago on the NHS so have to do my own research.  ..read more

Hi all,
Back in May, I had an ultrasound done after going to the go and finding some ‘nodules’. Results came back fine but was not given a definite answer. I was told ibuprofen gel could help ease the pain (it’s not excruciating). I wondered if it had anything to do with my time of the month but I don’t have periods anymore due to contraception. A few months down the line the pain is still the same (not worse) and now I am more aware of what to look out for. I’ve had this thicker area of my right breast (lower inner quadrant of the breast) that I keep comparing to my right since before the ult ..read more
