Hi guys. Not been on here for some time, i'm usually in the guerilla growing section but having not grown indoors for 6yrs i've decided to have another bash and thought i'd document the progress. Have got an unused brick outbuilding that i'm converting. I've gone for a room within a room leaving a metre wide walkway/prep area. A slide door will give access to the grow room which is approximately 2mx2mx2m. I've made a timber frame and in the process of insulating the floor, walls and ceiling and then lining the room with 12mm osb board. Here's some pics so far...   *won't let me attach pic ..read more

Ashy's tent build thread

Evening everyone!   Total noob alert (Hello).   Thought I'd start a thread in here, largely for myself to be honest, to keep track of what I've bought and how it all ends up going together.    Got a DS60 and an XS1500 Pro en route, so that's the starting point for my little tent of goodness.   CF and fan up next, any tips for cheaping out on this? I live alone so noise isn't an issue, and I can happily vent into the house.   Stay tuned for inevitable wasted money, and swearing while I slowly gather all the needed stuff and put it all together    (I've be ..read more

Decision made :)

Thanks again to all the lads I have badgered over the last few weeks. I appreciate all your time and patience and input, I took everything on board and then decided on something..... Quietness is of the upmost factor in my decision and after hearing several fans operating I just had to go for the Phresh 150mm v2 hyperfan. Wether its the right decision only time will tell ( still aint switched it on yet..scaredycat haha) Phonictrap ducting, EC1 controller RhinoPro 150 330 fits in the tent quite easily, I di have my reservations. All I have to do now is route the ducting to the roof vent which i ..read more

Hot mess in the outhouse

So here’s my little grow space which has been shaping up over last few years.  It’s a single brick outhouse the size of a small cubicle.  I’ve insulated it with polystyrene 50mm on the walls and 100mm on floor and ceiling and plyboard over top.  I’ve got an inkbird linked up to the ceramic heater (set to eco) and a heat mat under tray to keep up root temps, this surprisingly doesn’t work too hard even in colder weather. The tube heater is on constant. Extraction is also on speed and temperature control and is oversized for space. Extraction has been turned righ ..read more

Budbox Pro - flay white 'active par' lined

Just wanted to share the revelation that is Budbox pro. I put this up, on my own, with a trapped nerve in my back, in 20 minutes. Its weighs a ton in the box, so i was panicking - build from the ground up, undo the zips, and just pull it up and over...that's what it said...   ...and that's exactly what it does, really, really easily.   Black Friday deal, white lined, not mylar, usually about 280 quid, i paid 245 on the 'zon' with a free garland tray, 1m2   anyway, im using this as a room, one Zeus led light in the middle, 4 plants in 1,2m2 - heating on one side, ventilation on t ..read more

Vegging in a small space

Ive grown for 15 years on and off in small northern houses and often felt like i didnt have enough room for a seperate veg setup. This last two years ive been using a small tent on its side with a T5. I have ten plants in there now. Some clones from current crop and 3 sherbet from seedstockers. All about 6 weeks old. They have been topped a few times and repotted 3 times. Currently in 3.5l's but not full to the top to gain some head room. They look well considering how little light they are sharing. In a few days when my flowering plants are done, ill move these into the main tent, give them a ..read more

New Vegbox using outdoor storage cabinet

Alright folks, Im in the middle of knocking together a more substantial veg box to replace my present glorified cardboard box.   Using a plastic ketter garden storage box, lining with foiled laminate underlay and ali-tape. Ive fitted a 65W full spectrum LED board and Im getting some good initial ppfd/DLI readings but need to sort out the ventilation as planning on running this 24/7. Taking air from a bedroom below (sorry forgot to say its in the loft) and expeling the heated air into the main flower tent in the hope I dont have to use my oil rad this winter, or use it less at le ..read more

My T90 is finally up after 2 months of searching

So, I ordered a secret jardin T90 a few months ago only to find out that they discontinued the line 9 years ago and therefore had to cancel my order.   I rang around fifty grow shops that said they stocked it and they all said they would order one in. Which I knew couldn’t happen. Anyway, I finally found a shop in wales I think that actually had one in stock. It came at the weekend and it’s now finally up     the difference in quality from the cheap eBay one I bought to this is unreal. The zips are so quiet compared to the last one. The last one was horrific.   anyway, I f ..read more
