The U.S. inflation rate accelerated in March, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rising 0.4%, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported today. The CPI measures the average change over time in the prices paid by consumers for goods and services. The CPI also rose 0.4% in February, after increasing 0.3% in January. Thomas P. Stafford, a NASA astronaut who paved the way for the first moon landing by flying the Apollo 10 mission, passed away in Florida on Monday. He was 93.
