hi, I’m a new puppy owner to a 3 month old labradoodle spaniel mix and I would appreciate some thoughts on a behaviour she has displayed. 1st time we were in the park, she ran up to a family to say hello and the kids started screaming and running. My puppy remained fairly calm (some playful barking and lots of tail wagging) and one of the adults crouched down to say hello. I then came up and took her (not roughly) by the harness to move her away as the kids were scared and she just went for... Puppy biting, advice needed ..read more

Its not for me, but a friend of mine has a 9 mths old labrador, its her first dog so she's not very experienced. Apparently hes started barking at people on walks, not everyone or just men or women, just random barking. He pulls towards them, jes not aggressive at all, bit it obviously looks like he is to strangers. Shes really worried that someone will report her for having a dangerous dog. I cant think why he would be doing this, but then im not a dog trainer. Wondered if he's... Barking at people on walks ..read more

Disheartened, please help. My 2 years old cockapoo growls and lunges on other dogs more often now, rather random and unpredictable which and what kinds of dogs trigger him. He did that before and does after being neutered. There were days where - he could be fine walking and playing off lead without any trouble, or he could react to only some dogs on the walk, or nearly every dog he bumps into. We checked with the vet he doesn’t seem to have health or pain issue, we changed his diet, we... Random growling and lunging ..read more

I have a 14 week old labradoodle who is always playing quite aggresively with my older dog. The breeder told us to let them be and its play fighting so we have. But I feel sorry for the older dog as he is always getting bitten and doesn't really like being around the younger one due to this. He won't come into the same room if she is there or if does he will exit as soon as he comes. The breeder told us its play fighting and thats the doodle in them both. She told me to leave them to it... Puppy troubling older dog ..read more

I have a 21 month old male, in tact GSP. For the most part, he is a wonderful dog. I take him out daily in the fields and woods near where I live, which he absolutely loves. He will roam fairly widely, as the breed likes to do, but will continually come back and check in with me. I'll play with him with sticks and balls and also give him time to explore on his own. I don't work him though. His recall is generally very good... up to the point at which he thinks I want to leave. Then he turns... Help with a headstrong German Shorthaired Pointer ..read more

Hey all, have recently come across lots of different companies selling calming treats for reactive anxious dogs. My poppy has always been anxious and reactive on lead, but she never now seems to properly settle anywhere, is nervous of dogs, the list goes on, making daily life very tricky and wondered if anyone had any improvement with these alongside training? kat ..read more

Just seen this on my FB feed & thought I'd post here as issues with chasing wildlife is such a common problem for dog owners. I've not much knowledge of Simone's work but I know she's well respected & I think @O2.0 has referenced her several times on the forum. Even tho I use an ecollar on one of my dogs this is still something I'm interested in attending, just need to check my dates ..read more
