Here’s a shocking fact:  The human body naturally loses more than 250g of muscle every year beginning at age of 30. This number is also getting less as we have become such a stationary society – with working behind computers and being in lockdown. We re the once a day moving your body is probably not enough. Why is this so scary? Because muscle loss is directly responsible for falls and hip fractures later in life. And half the people who break their hip don’t survive it. Food and Exercise – Get your thinking and your actions on the right track otherwise these will hinder rather than help you lose weight.   Fat loss happens when you ditch the scale, start to exercises effectively and when you see food as fuel instead of something to feed your emotions or occupy your time.   Food – Don’t Diet!  Most diets seem to succeed in the short-term, and fail in the long-term.  Why? Scoliosis is the side-way curvature of the spine (click here to learn more about Scoliosis). post-surgery x-ray   When I was 9, I was walking home from school and twisted my ankle. My mother took me to see my GP to make sure that I was OK. Little did I know that my ankle held the key to a new discovery. I was standing and my GP noticed that I was slightly crooked. My GP  sent me off to get an X-Ray not of my ankle but of my back due to my newfound Scoliosis. Luckily, it was still very mild. Preventing my spine from curving even more seems like it was my Mother’s goal. We went to se ..read more

As someone balancing a 2-year-old daughter, expecting my second in August and running my own business, I should have been more prepared for the oncoming stress. The only thing that helped my body, pregnancy and injury related pain has been my slow movement, high intensity, resistance training sessions (I do 25 minutes once a week). * It is a short and intense full-body workout, focusing on muscle health. It not only saves time but ensures the time spent is productive and effective. Muscle building (not bodybuilding) is merely us looking after our muscles.
