What was your biggest challenge prior to starting your journey with Tarran?
I have been a yo-yo dieter for quite some time and have been on a number of ‘quick loss’ plans, Keto, Paleo, Sure-Slim (the list is long) and also had gastric sleeve surgery to try and help with this. I really was in a never ending cycle of gaining weight and losing it. Even with the surgery my weightloss was very up and down, and quite slow.
How has this changed?
Tarran set me on a straight path with my calorie intake and macros, as I really had no idea how much protein or calories I should be consuming. Tarran’s way ..read more

We’ve all heard that “10 000 steps per day” is what you should aim for for general fitness. But did you know that this number didn’t originate from doctors or personal trainers?
It was actually part of a marketing campaign!
In the 1960s, Japanese company Yamasa Tokei produced the first commercial pedometer, and named it Manpo-kei, which translates to 10,000 step metre. In addition, the number “10,000” written in Japanese actually looks like a person walking and it’s simply an easy, round number to remember. Oh, marketing!
Studies since have shown that there’s no magical number for cardiovascul ..read more

What was your biggest challenge prior to starting your journey with Tarran?
I think my biggest challenge or worry was the fact that I had to stand up and ask for help. I’m a big believer in asking for help but it was never something that I wanted to do in relation to nutrition or weight loss.
How has this changed?

I feel as though I have had a switch in my mindset since starting with you.
