We did it! Synth East 2024 was a bit of triumph. Hundreds of people came, we shared our fascination with synths and electronic music, beer was drunk, music was enjoyed, and we hope to do it all again. A huge thank you to everyone who came along; you made it busy and exceptional. I am humbled and floored by the response and enthusiasm for our little show. Also, my heartfelt thanks to the lovely artists who came and supported me in putting on the Patch-Off and other performances. Steve, Gaz, Jason, Ben, Alex, Fiona, Nina, Tristan and Barry, thank you. We do have a date for 2025: the weekend of t ..read more

Deckard’s Dream DIY Build 19 – The trouble with voice cards
Molten Music Technology

It’s been almost a year since I last looked at the Deckard’s Dream. It was almost completed, I got sound out and was happy enough to let that feel like a conclusion to the epic journey of a build. But I still felt there was more to do, and I never quite managed to screw it into the box and put the slider caps on. So here we are, testing the voice cards, seeing if I can iron out the last issues and allow the machine to blossom into an instrument. Is it brooding, dark and mysterious, or is it a groovy dance party in a module? Neo Trinity is fun, fast, fabulous and fiddly. It can run your rack with modulation, envelopes, LFOs, triggers and notes and then drink you under the table. Bullfrog is a collaboration between Erica Synths and Richie Hawtins and is designed as an educational platform for teaching synthesis, sound and modular music making. It’s huge; it’s a mono synth but with a special slot of splendidness. It’s not just for kids though; there’s plenty for the beginner and the more experienced to enjoy. https://bullfrog.ericasynths.lv/ Buy it from Thomann: https://thmn.to/thoprod/574060?offid=1&affid=1460 Perfect Circuit: http://tinyurl.com/perfectcircuit-bullfrog The post Erica Synths Bullfrog Synthesizer Review appeared first on Molten Music Technology ..read more
