In this week’s #golf101, Abby is bringing you her new favorite training aid - the Eyeline putting mirror. While she’s not one to typically use training aids, her putting really needed some work so she is giving this one a shot. So far, so good! Bonus - We love how it can easily fit in your golf bag and hardly adds any weight. A putting mirror can really help you with alignment. There is a center black line that should be in line with your target. When you set yourself for the putt, your eyes should be just over that black center line. In addition, you'll often hear that you want the putter fa ..read more

Because waiting for the monthly finds just isn't enough. We're back with another Masters-themed Weekly 9 and in this edition we are talking about patron outfits to wear at Augusta National Golf Club. There are a lot of suggestions out there, but at the end of the day, we recommend 1) dressing for the weather, 2) wearing sneakers, and 3) preparing to sit on the ground and be outside for hours. I have been to Masters Tournament rounds where I've experienced rain, humidity, extreme heat and a beautiful afternoon all in one day. Whether you're attending the tournament or another tournament on the ..read more

Because waiting for the monthly finds just isn't enough. Tis the season! The Masters Tournament tends to be the unofficial start to spring, ushering in the golf season. It also gives us a reason to get together with friends to watch the first men's major championship of the year and put our spin on the tournament's traditions. Since the tournament is only a few weeks away, we're sharing some of our favorite items for hosting a Masters party to help you prep. Golf 101: How to play foursomes or alternate shot
Fore the Ladies Blog
by Abby Liebenthal

This week #AbbyandGabby are playing a foursomes golf match and you can, too, the next time you tee it up. Also commonly called “alternate shot,” this game is a form of match play or stroke play where you and a partner compete as a side by playing one ball in alternating order on each hole. For example, Abby hit the tee shot, so Gabby goes next with the approach. We continued to alternate until we holed out. We could play this against another team of 2 in a match or against a full field of stroke play. Let us know if you try it out! We recommend giving it a shot at your next Happy Hour 9 ..read more

Golf 101: How to play a scramble
Fore the Ladies Blog

We’re taking our talents to the golf course for this Golf 101 with Gabby, Abby and Savannah playing a scramble! How do you play this format? Let’s break it down: A scramble is played with two, three or four-person teams. Each player plays from the teeing area on each hole, one of the tee shots is selected and all the players play their second shots from that spot. One of the second shots is then selected, and all players play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed. This is a great, low-pressure format where everyone has an opportunity to contribute to the team’s su ..read more
