During March 2024, OPRL changed the appropriate recycling advice label for PP, PE, and Mixed Polyolefin flexible plastics, all of which are widely used as packaging materials. OPRL welcomes Defra clarity on labelling for EPR

11 April 2024 – OPRL has welcomed Defra’s confirmation that OPRL’s ‘Recycle’ label is already compliant with new Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for Packaging rules. During an online Business Readiness Forum on Thursday 11 April, Defra announced that labelling requirements for EPR will come into force on 1 April 2027.
