Highline World Championships happening again!
A World Championship is the most prestigious international tournament in every sport. After a very successful first Championship in 2022 the spectacle is happening again from July 10th – 14th 2024, in Laax Switzerland. The purpose of the event is to gather the best highliners from around the world and crown the World Championship Winners (M/F). But we also want to promote our beloved activity to a wider audience and motivate young and upcoming slackline athletes and newcomers with a perspective in pursuing slackline as a high level sport.

Do you know how to tie-off weblocks safely? It should be common knowledge that weblocks ALWAYS need a proper tie-off. After analysing weblock slippage and weblock tie-offs at festivals and gatherings we would like to show you our prefered and recommended methods for the two most common weblock types.
Why do weblocks slip in the first place? During tension and release cycles such as bouncing or falling and even walking, webbing slowly slips in standard weblocks. The amount of slippage depends on several factors:

High-Altitude Highlining World Records- where is this heading?
The new record has huge implications on altitude highlining, it means that the final frontier now is the Himalaya, since this is one of the highest possible lines in the Andes mountain range! There remains the possiblity to rig a line on Aconcagua, the highest mountain in South America, but since this a very commercial mountain the permits are expensive.
