A seminar participant asked me, “How can I let in more love from my girlfriend?” I told him, “It’s not your girlfriend’s love you need to let in. It’s your own love you need to let out.”
We have consistently been taught that what we need is out there somewhere, and our task is to import it. This quest applies to material objects like cars and flat-screen TVs, as well as spiritual experiences like love from a romantic partner or salvation from a savior. This never-ending search is based on the lie that you are somehow flawed or lacking, and if you can just get what you need from ..read more

Healers come to their power by different means. Angela Nichole, the inspirational founder of AdventureFit and a Reiki practitioner, nurtured hers after a car collision, where she was pronounced dead at the scene, only to be revived, then told she’d never walk again or have children. Using sheer will power, she was able to motivate herself to eventually accomplish both. That inspired her to seek formal training and certification to help others overcome their obstacles.
There are also women whose healing powers come to them in a seemingly supernatural manner, sometimes fr ..read more

Can we separate love from religion? This question has occupied theologians and philosophers for centuries. Ultimately, the answer depends on our thoughts about our origin. If we believe that we were created by God—whatever our understanding of God may be—then we see love as a divine gift. If we do not, we may interpret love as an important biological drive. It is not helpful to compare the support for these views or attempt to discredit either one. People find comfort in both, and no one should be judged for their spiritual beliefs.
From a practical standpoint, with ..read more

THE PINEAL GLAND (OR THIRD EYE) PROVIDES PERCEPTION BEYOND ORDINARY SIGHT.
Have you ever decalcified your pineal gland? If not, I suspect you are not alone. If you were to text one of your friends or relatives and ask if their pineal gland is decalcified, a range of reactions, including the outstanding question: “What is that?” may occur. Some of the more well-informed may answer with a question such as “Do you mean my third eye?” Yet, the scratching of the head may still ensue in trying to figure out if it is decalcified. If you do not yet have membership in the WhatsApp Group ..read more

An eccentric and likeable guy in my town has literally taken upon himself the admonition to bear the cross. Years ago John fashioned a small crucifix out of wood, and since then he walks regularly along the side of a highway carrying the cross. He used to bear the cross on one shoulder while waving and blowing kisses to the folks in passing cars. Local people know John, and many blow kisses back, or toot their horn to say hello as they drive past him.
Recently John performed a penance upgrade and fashioned a much larger cross out of PVC pipe. Now he needs two h ..read more

Your spiritual source is the supply of infinite love, wisdom, and energy in the universe. For you, source may mean God, Goddess, Universal Intelligence, the Great Spirit, the Higher Power, or your true essence. However we conceptualize it, it can be found here and now within each of us, in our inner beings.
You can think of contacting your source as connecting with your higher self, the wise being who dwells within you. Being in contact with your higher self is characterized by a deep sense of knowingness and certainty, of power, love, and wisdom. You know that you are ..read more

Do you know anyone who is so firmly fixed on what he or she wants to talk about that you don’t stand a chance to talk about anything else with that person? I know a CEO who is interested only in sales statistics. If you want to talk to him, the conversation must be about spreadsheets, price points and returns on investments. I know another fellow who is into yoga. If you want to discuss gurus, devotional ceremonies and meditation techniques, he’s there. If not, there is nothing else to talk about. Another guy is a classic narcissist. All he cares to talk about is himself ..read more

The Wheel of the Year is the pagan myth that links individual consciousness to Mother Earth and the original source of all creation. The Wheel’s eighth stop lands on Midsummer, June 21, when sunlight is at the maximum, and the day is at its longest. Many northern hemisphere cultures celebrate the Summer Solstice by honoring the White Goddess, Litha, who is associated with the sun and fire and their ability to transform, as well as to shed light and purify. Pagan cultures celebrated long days and extended hours of sunlight that brought crops and improved co ..read more

My coaching client Andrea has struggled with issues of lack and poor self–worth for a lot of her life. Although she is smart, spiritual and attractive, she has regularly feared that she would become impoverished and bereft. She told me, “Whenever I drive under a bridge, I check it out to see where I would set up cardboard boxes for myself and my kids to live in, in case we lose it all.”
I asked Andrea if she was in danger of losing it all, and she firmly answered, “No.” This dear woman has always been provided for, and even as a single mom, she has manifested various means of su ..read more

I was no “Goddess-of-the-Garden.”
I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. My mother was a highly creative woman and an avid gardener. Each year she would split the back garden into four sections, one for each of her daughters. To start, we planted tulip bulbs in each garden to ensure that they would at the very least grow annual flowers each spring. Thereafter we were left to tend to our tiny gardens in whatever way we saw fit. My older sister Laura was awarded the coveted “Puskar Green Thumb Award” each year for her stellar garden. She seemed to have a knack. Give ..read more
