This one is about the old Stocks gadget that some people used back in the day, but now it has stopped supporting. I couldn't find another gadget of this type, as they use Yahoo! I need help Im using Vista in Virtual Memory i foolishly entered a large amount into the Initial size and when I restarted my computer it took forever to load, then i restarted in safe mode and it took a long time too. I tried to change it to system managed size and Automatically manage but when i check it again after restarting the No paging file is ticked. I recently reinstalled Windows but my computer crashes when i use photo software or any high demanding graphics applications. So i have turned off the computer manually several times in the last week. I ran chkdsk and it froze at 25% on stage 5, so i turned off the computer after waiting for hours and entered safe mode to run chkdsk, but safe mode also gets stuck, the last thing i see loading at the bottom of the screen says Windows\system32\drivers\crcdisk.sys Also if i just try to start the computer normally it says chkdsk needs to run so im hoping it doesn’t get stuck in an endless loop. I have an old Toshiba P205 laptop with Vista that an acquaintance wants to use to play some of his old HD-DVD discs. Which is great...much better than dumping in landfill. However, it seemingly has no recovery partition, no recovery creation tool, and I don't have any Vista Home Premium 32-bit discs to reformat the drive with. At least, if there is a recovery partition (there's an "EISA Configuration" partition), I can't boot to it. After i reinstalled Windows I couldnt install Maxthon , Firefox or Opera browsers. I downloaded, installed and used all three before the reinstall. I was only able to install Firefox by using Internet Explorer when the box popped up it says open or save. I saved it and installed it, its the only browser i have to use now.
