Hey! My gorgeous boy Atlas is 10 weeks old and perfectly healthy, but he was the smallest of the pack and still lies a little below normal weights for V’s.
Of course we want him to be big and strong, so how much can you feed a 10wk without overfeeding?
For the last 2 days he has had 600g of forthglade puppy a day, plus cooked chicken for treats! This seems too much for a pup that weighed 5.6kg on Tuesday!
Any thoughts...

Hi All,
Back to the forum after a long time. This forum has been very helpful for me in the past .
I have been feeding Purina Pro Plan Performance 30/20 sine my V has been 1 year old...he will be 4 years old in a few weeks. I don't hunt with him . He is , I would say moderately active. On weekdays he walks about 5 miles on leash. Couple of times a week I go on a 5-6 mile off leash hike with him on hilly terrain.
The Purina Pro Plan Performance 30/20 (salmon) has generally worked great...

Our dog Bo is almost 11 years old. This past winter all she does is want to eat. She rarely ate first thing in the morning, usually she'd eat after her walk around 12 or 1 pm. We'd give her a couple treats for breakfast. Now, she wants to eat first thing in the morning around 8 or 9, then around 3 pm. I read where most dogs eat 12 hours apart? Then she whines constantly while we're eating our meals. We give her supplements for her liver & kidney and cosequin for her joints. Could this be...

Hey team
I, like many others have a vizsla (in my case 3/4 vizsla 1/4 English pointer) that stopped eating around 8 months old. I'm doing everything I can mixing her kibble with cooked (she won't eat anything raw) meats and veggies, mixing it up every few days as she gets bored easily. I know I'm doing a good job as hard as it is (luckily I used to be a chef), as people comment on her condition and shiny coat all the time.
What I want to know...

Ruby is 10 months- very recently she is not wanting to eat dinner. Does anyone have or had this problem? Not acting like anything is wrong. More interested in playing with toys, etc. What about feeding once a day instead? Just looking for some insight. Thanks ..read more

I have an 8 month old female vizsla. She weighs 35lbs and is very petite in general. She was the runt of a 7 puppy liter with a smaller mother as well. My issue is she is very thin. I can see all ribs at all times and her backbone is starting to show as well. She is fully vetted and healthy. She is very high energy and loves to work. I cannot get her to eat more than 2 cups of dog food a day. That seems way to low. How many cups does your pup eat in a day? We have tried many diff foods, high...

Hi, this is my first post on here and I was wondering if anyone can help me with how I can transition my dog to raw food diet. The reason I'm asking is that I have tried a few times to introduce raw food but she has turned her head away from the mince beef I gave her the other day. She has allergies which we aren't sure what to and thought that swapping her to raw food would help.
Thanks in advance ..read more
