Is increased brand awareness your trade show goal? In the wonderful world of exhibitions brand awareness is a goal many people pop at the top of their design briefs. We all want to win the hearts of our customers so when it comes time for them to purchase, they think of us. However, as an exhibition goal, it is a little slippery. Here’s why… There’s one huge problem with this as a goal. It’s not quantifiable. Make this one change to your brief and I promise you, everything important falls into place. You can pretty much stop reading this blog post now and if you walk away knowing that key take ..read more

One thing you should always exclude from your exhibit design

Do you see any reception counters at the apple store? This is for good reason. Even the Telstra store has cottoned on and usually only have a counter at the back of the store because that first impression matters. If you want to instantly break down barriers for communicating with visitors at trade shows, just don’t include a reception counter in your exhibit design. This may be an unpopular opinion of mine but I’m going to share why I think it’s one of the best kept secrets to winning over potential customers at trade shows. Seriously, going back to the apple store and their fantastic approa ..read more

The Exhibit Company Blog

So often people go to a trade show and want to collect as many leads as possible, but really the goal should be to collect as many qualified leads as possible with a follow up booked. Setting the right lead capture strategy is one of the most important aspects of any exhibition campaign. I want to share a few ideas to help you approach lead capture at trade shows with incredible intention. It is a process that needs to be tailored. There are so many engaging ways to shake up the way you collect leads, but the basic framework needs to be solid. Have a system in place before you even attend the ..read more

Setting KPI’s – The precursor to ROI success
The Exhibit Company Blog

I was definitely at kid who colour coordinated my to do lists with highlighters, but I’ve never been a math genius. The really cool part about developing a robust set of KPI’s is it forces you to clearly define who you want to target and therefore how you are going to do it. (You know how much I LOVE planning ????). One of my pet peeves is hearing someone had a great show, even the “busiest stand” and then finding out that they were the wrong kinds of leads that didn’t convert. It’s a waste of money and effort. To me, the numbers are motivators, decision makers and celebrations of your success ..read more

What You Need to Know About Using Video on Your Exhibition Stand
The Exhibit Company Blog

We love to be entertained and are now programmed to want everything on demand. If we watch TV, we are watching Netflix so we aren’t interrupted by ads. (Of course, this is only so we can swipe through Instagram at the same time haha) It’s well known that attention spans are shrinking rapidly, which can make our job as trade show marketers a little more difficult. When it comes to exhibition stand design simply building the biggest display possible and sticking the company logo on it is no longer enough (and shame on any exhibition design company that ever thought it was!). What we have to do i ..read more

Ideas for small exhibition stands
The Exhibit Company Blog

The size of your stand space doesn’t limit the potential of your creative output “We only have a 3×3 space”… I absolutely hate hearing people say this! It’s as if they’re ashamed of the fact they have a small exhibit or the are quitting on their creativity before they even get started! Dressing a 3×3 stand space doesn’t have to be ordinary. You don’t have to dress up a shell scheme or get a package that hopefully looks better than your competition. What confuses me is that when people attend exhibitions, the number one goal is to speak to people they don’t know – How are you planning on doing ..read more

Are ‘Vision Leaks’ Damaging Your Exhibition Results?

It’s absolutely gut wrenching when we see potential clients go with a sub-standard design that doesn’t work towards achieving their goals. The big problem with the ‘safe’ option, is that it might sometimes look like a good idea from the outside, but it doesn’t always tick boxes for an attendee. (And this is what matters for the bottom line!) This is a major frustration for us as well as the client who has devised the plan and shared our concepts.  Nobody likes to miss out on business, especially when you have worked hard at producing creative ideas. There is nothing worse that knowing in ..read more
